About Jennifer
Jennifer attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha for her Bachelors in Social Work and her Masters in Social Work (MSW) where she graduated in 1992. She has worked as an inpatient psychiatric hospital social worker, outpatient therapist, hospice grief counselor and an in-school therapist in Middle School setting. When Jennifer is not working she enjoys camping with her spouse and Golden Retriever and enjoying 10 grandchildren and brushing her Golden (haha).
Jennifer has extensive training in cognitive behavioral therapy to reduce anxiety and depression she also uses EMDR and another modalities to assist clients with depression, anxiety and distressing events. EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It is a form of therapy that helps people heal from trauma or other distressing life experiences. Jennifer also routinely integrates the teachings of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness into her clinical work.
